TURNER & WARDEN
Musical Theatre writing duo creating fun, heartfelt family shows with tongue-in-cheek humour and contemporary pop soundtracks.
“Liv and Charlie, as young women on trend, have created something fresh and exciting. They are proving why theatres should be investing in young female writers and creatives.”
- That Stagey Blog
Charlie Turner and Liv Warden have been best friends since they were 11 years old and since then have made it their mission to make each other laugh as much as possible.
As a writing team, their musical theatre debut was 'Gretel!', which had a short sold out run at The Other Palace in 2019 and went on to be developed into 'The Clockwatcher'. The pair presented an excerpt of the show in 2023 as one of the winning teams at the inaugural Overture Artist Showcase to an industry audience with a cast featuring Julian Ovenden, Luke Bayer, Laura Baldwin, Amy Cooke-Hodgson and Mared Williams.
'The Clockwatcher' is currently in development with MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton. In addition, Turner & Warden's new show 'Lightning Boy' will be workshopped as part of the National Youth Music Theatre's 2024 season (director: Tania Azevedo).
