Charlie Turner and Liv Warden have been best friends since they were 11 years old and since then have generally tried to make each other laugh as much as possible.
As a writing team, their musical theatre debut was 'Gretel!', which had a short sold out run at The Other Palace in 2019 and went on to be developed into 'The Clockwatcher'. The pair presented an excerpt of the show in 2023 as one of the winning teams at the inaugural Overture Artist Showcase to an industry audience with a cast featuring Julian Ovenden, Luke Bayer, Laura Baldwin, Amy Cooke-Hodgson and Mared Williams.
'The Clockwatcher' is currently in development with MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton. In addition, Turner & Warden's new show 'Lightning Boy' was workshopped as part of the National Youth Music Theatre's 2024 season (director: Hannah Chissick). It made its world premiere with NYMT at Birmingham Hippodrome as part of their 2025 season (director: Kate Golledge).
